"You have 'Console Exclusive' games, which will also be released on PC"
Console exclusive would mean that isn't NOT coming out on PC.
Far Cry and Crysis were successful on PC, they should have stayed there. Crysis 2 was successful because console players thought they were getting the coveted PC exclusive Crysis, but they got a watered down game. Leading to no one one caring about Crysis 3.
Then they threw their money at making a bunch of other studios that remained in development hell, or making crap games.
Granted, I blame EA for all this.
Now Crytek feels irrelevant an...
"especially on PC", you mean on Rage? Not after you use the ini fix. Silly considering they could have just tweaked it the right way in the first place.
DX12 will be great!...on PC.
The XBO is a terrible system for DX11.
"A parent isn't going to go online buy a bunch of parts and learn how to build a pc for their kids."
That is obviously going to change.
Pick 5 of the most popular games, call them the most overrated, get hits.
The Steam reviews don't look good
Most all modern games for years now, on PC, have controller support and achievements.
"Plus, owning a game on pc feels stupid"
Really? Feels pretty smart considering I still have Half Life 2 and all other games I bought on Steam (for cheap) after all these years and can play it on any future machine I build. How is that going for consoles? On PC I also own almost all consoles ever made and any games I want from them, for FREE. That feels smart too.
"I spent 850+ on that computer in 2012, and Upgraded the gpu for 250. By 2014, it...
"but the PS4 costing less doesn't somehow make it better than my PC either."
^THIS THIS THIS.
Because consoltards spread constant misinformation about PC to justify their purchases. It goes both ways with insecure people, or people with only enough money for one choice.
I could buy a PS4, but there is no point for me, I love PC and I am so glad I converted. OPTIONS. Glorious options.
Brazil is in the Pan American continent, and Brazilians speak with a Latin derived language, hence it is in Latin America, hence, Latinos. Many Brazilians, particularly in it's poorer regions as depicted in the game, will not be white, therefore the 'brown' reference. matt139's 'opinion' is not misinformed or ignorant. It's factual.
"Meaning that with time, they will all be 1080p without much trouble."
"All" I don't think so. It's like predicting all games last gen would be 720p. Heck, they were saying all games would be 1080p LAST gen. You add more graphic effects on, you have to drop things like rez, AA, and framerate to do so. Whatever, you'll hopefully learn this after the second lesson this later gen will provide.
"Meaning that with time, they will all be 1080p without much trouble."
Do you remember last gen? Resolutions get worse bro, not better.
Imagine playing on PC.
You're gonna get what you're gonna get, from console hardware. It's done. The systems are set in stone. Devs are working with fixed hardware. Like last gen, the resolutions only got worse with time. You want standards in graphics, go PC. Don't care about graphics to a T, as long as it's better than last gen, then play consoles. It's pretty simple.
I don't think you should be more 'worried' about it than any other game. Any game can end up with some faults. I don't spend my time 'worrying' about these things.
The problem here that is quite annoying, is the assumption that this will be another Colonial Marines, despite the extremely important fact that IT ISN'T THE SAME DAMN STUDIO MAKING IT!!!
I'm interested in the 2033 redux if it's going to take away the bad, unfix-able stuttering issues it had.
Remastered graphics/all DLC.
ah, I get what you mean, I was being too generally technical.
